J. Mitchener Hobson

Writer. Author. Thinker. Doer.

Welcome to my website. Now as a professional Author, I aim to create a better understanding of the world and our place in it—a mission which has cast me in many different roles: undercover investigator, Tribal prosecutor, nuclear security consultant, author, artist, and creative innovator. There are those who read about it, those who talk about it, and those who do it. Get to know me; read some of my life's work below, ranging from published articles and books to more informal blog posts.

About the Author

Even as a young child I was always conjuring up stories and filling them with colorful characters, sharing them with anyone and everyone who would listen. Since then, I’ve lived the stories I tell. They have become longer, more complex, and contain their own colorful and often dangerous characters. I share them with much larger audiences today. I’m adept at using my recanting, thinking and creative flair to bring my stories to life in engaging, factual, and entertaining ways.

EVENT 11 - A novel by J. Mitchener Hobson

Get your copy of this exciting novel based on factual events on Amazon available in paperback and Kindle eBook.

The story begins on the Navajo Indian Reservation...a Government contract with Kerr-McGee to surface strip uranium, for use in the nuclear industry, but continued with mass contamination of the land and people.

This story culminates with the taking hostage of San Onofre Nuclear Facility. This photo is the actual back page of their complete Site Security Plan. I removed it from atop an engineer's desk that was not secured. A severe NRC violation.

One of the greatest perks of my job is getting feedback and interacting with readers. Contact me if you’ve got any comments
The nuclear industry opened the way for corrupt contractors to cash in on big profits. It was in its' infancy, and less than a hand full of contractors were qualified for this undertaking.
During the construction phase site security was being directed at times by those who would take financial advantage of the utility companies.

The director of security had to be educated to the new ways of thieves. Only the street-smart director would utilize well-trained, outside sources to work undercover with him...and it would have worked if not for the power of those at the top.

I will get their attention somehow!
